Our department houses 6 parks, a recreation center, municipal pool and a community center. Each of our parks offer a wide variety of amenities for leisure, sports, gatherings and even classes. From birthday parties to business meetings, our facilities are also available for rent to the public.

Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan 2021-2031 Now Available!
Wednesday, September 23rd, T-Mobile announced the 25 small towns winning Hometown Grants to jumpstart vital community development projects to re-energize these towns and build upon what makes them unique.
The City of Elgin, Texas was one of these 25 recipients and the only town in Texas to receive a T-Mobile Hometown Grant! This grant will fun the creation of an outdoor classroom with ADA picnic tables and free WiFi in the Veterans' Memorial Park Expansion Phase 1.
Hometown Grants are part of the Un-carrier’s massive commitment to bring 5G to rural America. Over the next five years, T-Mobile plans to hire 7,500 new employees in small towns and rural communities and provide $25 million in grants for community development projects.
